Assemble four complete king-to-ace runs, each in one suit, right in the piles. There are no foundations: each suit must end up whole in a pile of its own.
All 52 cards lie face up in 10 piles: 8 in each of the three on the left, then 7, 6 and so on down to one on the right. A card goes on any card one rank higher, whatever the suit: an eight fits a red nine as well as a black one. A descending group of one suit moves as a whole, and an empty pile takes any card or group. A mixed-suit group moves in one go too if there are enough empty piles: with none it may hold only one single-suit stretch, with one empty pile two, with two four. So a nine and eight of spades under a seven of hearts are two stretches, and with one empty pile they move together onto a ten.
nuances
An empty pile that is the group's own destination does not count. A finished run stays put and moves like any single-suit group.
tactics
Put a card on the higher one of its own suit whenever you can: every mixed-suit joint has to be taken apart later, and that takes empty piles.
