goal

Move all 104 cards to the eight foundations — one suit per foundation, from ace to king; four suits, two foundations each.

Eight piles, one face-up card in each, the rest of both decks waiting face down beside them. The stock hands its cards to the waste one at a time, and the waste runs the whole game: from there a card goes onto a pile, descending and in alternating colors — only a black nine on a red ten. Cards never travel from pile to pile: the top card has one way out, onto a foundation. An empty pile takes any card, and again only from the waste. A waste that runs empty draws from the stock by itself — a helper you can switch off in the menu. Once the stock is spent, a click turns the waste back, and that is the only redeal.

nuances

With one redeal, a card you walked past in the waste may never come round again. A card on a foundation is there for good: the piles accept the waste alone.

tactics

Do not bury low cards under high ones — a card in a pile is free only once everything above it has gone to a foundation. Keep an empty pile in reserve: it accepts any card when the waste hands you something useless.
