goal & play

goal

Assemble eight complete king-to-ace runs, each in a single suit. Played with two decks, 104 cards.

Ten piles: the four on the left hold six cards, the rest five, and only the top one is face up; 50 cards stay in the stock. A card may be placed on any card one rank higher, and the suit does not matter: a nine goes on a red ten just as well as on a black one. A GROUP, however, only moves if it is already a single-suit descending run — the top part of a longer such run will do; an empty pile takes any card or any such group. A face-down card turns over by itself once it becomes the top one. A finished king-to-ace run goes to a foundation in one move, and only whole: a partial run the foundation refuses. The game menu also carries an auto-drop that does it for you.

nuances

There are exactly 5 deals from the stock, and none is allowed while a pile stands empty. A card on a foundation never comes back.

tactics

Build in one suit whenever you have the choice — a mixed ladder can never be moved as a whole. And do not send a finished run away just before a deal: the pile it empties ties that deal up.
