goal & play
goal
Assemble eight complete runs from king down to ace. All 104 cards are spades — eight sets of them instead of two ordinary decks.
Ten piles: the four on the left get six cards each, the others five, and only the top card of each is face up; the remaining 50 wait in the stock. A card goes on any card exactly one rank higher. With a single suit in play, every descending ladder moves as one piece, whole or from any of its cards upward: a three with its two and ace can be lifted off the seven beneath them and dropped onto a four. An empty pile takes any card or any ladder. A face-down card turns over by itself once it reaches the top. A complete king-to-ace ladder goes to a foundation in one move and only whole; the auto-drop in the game menu can do this for you.
nuances
The stock deals one card onto every pile exactly 5 times and refuses while any pile stands empty. A card on a foundation never comes back.
tactics
An empty pile is the most valuable thing on the table — it lets you rebuild ladders piece by piece, so do not fill it with the first card to hand. Dig first into the piles with the most face-down cards under the top.
