goal

Move all 52 cards to the four foundations — one suit per foundation, in order from ace to king: ace, 2, 3 … jack, queen, king.

There is no stock: every card starts on the table in seven piles — the first holds one face-up card, the others one to six face-down with five face up on top. You may move any face-up card together with everything lying on it, even when those cards form no order at all. The only condition concerns the card you land on: it must be one rank higher and of the opposite color, so a red nine goes onto a black ten with its whole tail. An empty pile belongs to a king alone, who may bring his whole tail too. A face-down card turns over by itself once it becomes the top of its pile. An ace that reaches the top goes to its foundation by itself — on the deal too, so some games open with an ace already up there.

nuances

A card on a foundation never comes back — a deuce sent up there will not help you dig out a pile again.

tactics

Do not hurry the higher cards up, and dig as early as you can: any face-up card can move, so every card you uncover is one more move.
