goal & play
goal
Move all 52 cards to the four foundations — one suit each, from the rank the deal names, upward in a ring: past the king comes the ace.
Thirteen cards go to the reserve, top card face up; the next starts a foundation and names the base rank for all four; each column gets one face-up card. If a foundation starts at a seven, it runs eight, nine … king, ace, on to six. Columns build downward in alternating colors and ring too: a black eight on a red nine, a red king under a black ace. From a column you take the top card or the whole column, never a part. An empty column draws from the reserve by itself while it lasts. The waste does not stand empty either: when its last card goes, the next three arrive by themselves — a helper you switch off in the menu. When the stock runs out, the next click turns the waste back, no limit.
nuances
A card on a foundation never comes back. The reserve turns its top card face up by itself; once it is empty, you fill a column space yourself, with any card.
tactics
Dig into the reserve: it is the one pile you cannot rearrange. While it lasts, an empty column is no resource: a card arrives by itself.
