goal & play
goal
Dismantle the 28-card pyramid. What is left in the stock and the waste does not matter — the game is won the moment the pyramid is empty.
The stock lies face down and the next card stays hidden: a card comes into play only once dealt to the waste. A pair is two cards adding up to 13: ace (1) with queen (12), 2 with jack (11), 3 with 10, 4 with 9, 5 with 8, 6 with 7. Only a card nothing covers is available: at the start, the bottom row. The top of the waste plays on equal terms: a queen there takes an ace off the pyramid, and once a new card falls on it, the previous one is out of reach. A king needs no partner — the helper takes it once free, and an empty waste draws from the stock by itself. Tapping a card highlights its partners, tapping one removes the pair.
nuances
The stock can be gone through three times only, and what lies in it is known only as it is dealt. Both helpers — the draw and the king removal — can be switched off in the game menu.
tactics
Take first whatever opens two rows of the pyramid at once: the next card cannot be planned for, so a wide choice is what wins.
